Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the manslaughter of a taxi driver who died following an assault in a car park at Manchester Airport.
Police were called to a Terminal 2 car park at about 08:25 BST, where 57-year-old William Brent Taylor had collapsed and later died in hospital.
The arrested men aged 55 and 26, remain in custody, Greater Manchester Police said.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on Saturday.
A police cordon has been put in place and inquiries are ongoing.
Det Ch Insp Carl Jones said: “We have specially trained officers supporting the man’s family at what is understandably an incredibly difficult time and our thoughts remain with them.
“We have two men in custody but our investigation is still in its very early stages. Several witnesses are currently helping us with our inquiries.”
